Daily brief and Ask

myOrb asks an AI to write your daily brief from today's calendar, the subjects and senders of your latest unread emails and your tasks, and to answer what you ask. That information is sent to the AI you choose, with your own API key, each time: once a day at the time below for the brief, and whenever you ask. A local model (Ollama, LM Studio) keeps it on your own computer.

Claude is what myOrb is made and tested with: its brief costs about 1–3 cents with Sonnet, a few cents with Opus and well under a cent with Haiku. Other services work through their OpenAI-compatible API; how well Ask's actions work depends on the model, and myOrb counts only Claude's costs.

Create one in the Anthropic Console. Create an API key with the service.
Only for an API key created for the whole organization rather than in a workspace. Find the ID in the Console under Settings → Workspaces.
Leave it empty for the service's usual address. When myOrb runs in Docker, a model on the same computer is at http://host.docker.internal:… rather than localhost.
myOrb checks it with the service when you save, and lists the models it offers if it has no such one.
Removes the API key. Written briefs stay.
