Reading the brief aloud

The browser's voicesFree and private; how natural they sound depends on the device. Each device keeps its own choice. Microsoft Azure SpeechNatural voices in every language, the same on every device. The brief's text is sent to Microsoft; the free tier (500,000 characters a month) covers a daily brief many times over.

Voice per language · this device

Only languages this device has a voice for are listed. On a Mac, better voices can be downloaded in System Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → System voice → Manage voices; restart the browser afterwards.

In the Azure portal, create a Speech resource; the free pricing tier (F0) is enough.
Open the resource, go to Keys and Endpoint and copy Key 1 and the Location/Region (e.g. westeurope).
